Welcome to Rishiverse, the integrated digital platform of Rishihood University. By accessing or using Rishiverse (the "Platform"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service ("Terms"). If you do not agree to these Terms, you must not access or use the Platform.

These Terms constitute a legally binding agreement between you ("User" or "you") and Rishihood University ("University," "we," "us," or "our").

Rishiverse is an integrated digital platform that combines:

• Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) - User management, academic records, fee tracking, leave management
• Learning Management System (LMS) - Course content, assignments, assessments, attendance tracking
• Hostel Management System (HMS) - Room allocation, maintenance requests, hostel services

The Platform streamlines academic, administrative, residential, and student engagement processes for the Rishihood University community.

3.1 Authorized Users

Access to Rishiverse is restricted to:

• Students enrolled at Rishihood University
• Faculty and academic staff
• Administrative personnel
• Hostel wardens and residential staff
• External auditors (limited access as authorized)

3.2 Age Requirements

Users must be at least 16 years of age. Users under 16 years must have parental consent to use the Platform.

3.3 Account Registration

• All users must register using their university-issued credentials
• You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your login credentials
• You must not share your account credentials with any third party
• You must notify us immediately of any unauthorized use of your account

4.1 Permitted Uses

You may use Rishiverse for:

• Academic and educational purposes
• University-related administrative tasks
• Legitimate communication with other authorized users
• Accessing hostel and residential services

4.2 Prohibited Activities

You must not:

• Upload plagiarized, defamatory, offensive, or inappropriate content
• Violate academic integrity policies
• Misuse communication channels for spam or non-academic purposes
• Share login credentials or impersonate others
• Attempt to gain unauthorized access to any part of the Platform
• Interfere with the Platform's functionality or security
• Upload malicious code, viruses, or harmful software
• Use the Platform for any illegal or unauthorized purpose
• Harass, threaten, or abuse other users

4.3 Academic Integrity

• All uploaded assignments are subject to plagiarism checks
• Faculty may flag suspected violations of academic integrity
• Repeat offenses may result in account suspension or academic penalties
• Users must comply with the University's academic integrity policies

5.1 User-Generated Content

• You retain ownership of content you create and upload ("User Content")
• By uploading User Content, you grant the University a non-exclusive, royalty-free license to store, display, and use such content for educational and administrative purposes
• You represent and warrant that you have the right to upload User Content and that it does not infringe third-party rights

5.2 Platform Content

• The Platform, including its design, functionality, and underlying technology, is owned by Rishihood University
• All Platform content is protected by copyright, trademark, and other intellectual property laws
• You may not copy, modify, distribute, or create derivative works from Platform content without permission

6.1 Data Collection

We collect the following types of data:

• Personal Information: Name, email, contact number, date of birth, gender
• Academic Data: Student ID, enrollments, grades, attendance, transcripts
• Login Data: Login timestamps, activity logs, failed attempts
• Residential Information: Room allocation, hostel complaints, buddy assignments
• Usage Analytics: Pages accessed, time spent on modules
• Uploaded Content: Assignments, profile pictures, feedback

6.2 Third-Party Analytics

We use Microsoft Clarity for analytics purposes, including:

• Heatmaps and session recordings
• User behavior analysis
• Performance optimization

By using the Platform, you consent to this data collection and processing in accordance with Microsoft's privacy policies.

6.3 Data Protection

Your privacy is important to us. Our data collection and processing practices are governed by our Privacy Policy, which forms part of these Terms.

7.1 Authorized Integrations

The Platform may integrate with:

• Google Sign-In (OAuth authentication)
• External learning tools (Zoom, YouTube embeds)
• Payment gateways for fee management
• Microsoft Clarity for analytics

7.2 External Links

• All external links are monitored for compliance and relevance
• We are not responsible for the content or practices of external websites
• Your use of third-party services is subject to their respective terms and conditions

8.1 Automatic Deactivation

Accounts may be automatically deactivated upon:

• Graduation or completion of studies
• Resignation or termination of employment or student status
• End of authorized access period

8.2 Manual Suspension

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts for:

• Violation of these Terms
• Academic misconduct
• Prolonged inactivity
• Security concerns

8.3 Appeal Process

Users may appeal account termination by contacting our Helpdesk system within 15 days of termination.

9.1 Platform Availability

• We strive to maintain Platform availability but do not guarantee uninterrupted access
• Scheduled maintenance may result in temporary downtime
• We are not liable for any loss or damages due to Platform unavailability

9.2 Data Loss

• We are not liable for any loss of data due to user-side errors or internet connectivity issues
• Users are responsible for maintaining backup copies of important data
• We recommend regular backup of critical academic work

9.3 User-Generated Content

• We disclaim liability for User-Generated Content
• Users are solely responsible for the content they upload
• We do not endorse or guarantee the accuracy of User-Generated Content

9.4 Academic Disputes

• Academic disputes must be addressed through the University's formal grievance redressal system
• The Platform is not a forum for resolving academic conflicts

9.5 LIMITATION OF LIABILITY

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, RISHIHOOD UNIVERSITY SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES ARISING OUT OF OR RELATING TO YOUR USE OF THE PLATFORM.

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless Rishihood University, its officers, directors, employees, and agents from any claims, damages, losses, or expenses arising from:

• Your use of the Platform
• Your violation of these Terms
• Your violation of any third-party rights
• Your User-Generated Content

We reserve the right to modify these Terms at any time. Changes will be effective immediately upon posting on the Platform. Your continued use of the Platform after changes constitutes acceptance of the modified Terms.

These Terms are governed by the laws of India. Any disputes arising from these Terms or your use of the Platform shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts in Sonipat, Haryana, India.
